At CarMax, I designed an entirely new mobile app as part of their new repair order system. I also reimagined new customer experiences, such as the MyCarMax customer portal.
In just 5 weeks, I proved out this new inspection process by validating it with end-users, all stakeholders from process engineering to legal, and up to the product VP-level.
Projected $20M+ annual profit increase directly attributable to reduced reworks and faster inspections.
Before: Paper checklists were responsible for a large amount of reworks.
~$11.8M worth of reworks every year because of mistakes.
After: My solution proved that we should move away from paper checklists.
~20% faster cycle times, integrated, and less-prone to mistakes.
