Before Gemini's release in 2024, my team of 5 students at SCAD partnered with 2 ICs and a Sr. UX Manager at Google to benchmark various smart home products. Based on our research, I designed a a new smart home setup experience with Gemini.
Doubled SUS score from 40 (published research baseline) to 80 in prototype testing.
Delivered benchmarks and prototype insights including integration patterns and interaction models that informed Google's design decisions for Home with Gemini 12+ months later.
